View from the Spanish Camp (Staten Island)
This landscape depicts the former site of activist and journalist Dorothy Day’s bungalow in Staten Island, as described in her memoir, The Long Loneliness. The bungalow was razed by a developer seeking to build modern residences on the site, but the project was set back by Hurricane Sandy.
