I made this oil painting of St. Jude Thaddeus, Apostle, martyr, writer of a New Testament epistle, and cousin of the Lord on commission for the cover of the Saint Jude Messenger.
My goal was to portray a young St. Jude full of hope in the resurrection of dead to correspond with the Easter liturgical period, springtime, and the long awaited remission of the coronavirus pandemic.
